    Restore Methods

You create a restore using the following options:

The Download (Free) option downloads a ZIP file of your data. ZIP downloads may not exceed 500 GB, and you may not have more than 20 active ZIP downloads at a time. Backblaze recommends that you use the Backblaze Downloader for ZIP restore. For more information, see Use the Backblaze Downloader (Mac) or Use the Backblaze Downloader (Win).

The Save Files to B2 option stores your restored files in your Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage account so you can keep them longer. The maximum size for a Backblaze B2 restore is 10 TB, and it may involve an additional cost depending on the size of the restore. For more information about using this option, see Save Files to Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage.

The USB Hard Drive option downloads your restored files to a USB restore drive. USB Hard Drives can hold a maximum of 8 TB of data. For more information about the USB hard drive, see Order a Restore Drive and Restore Return Refund Program.
