Change an Account Email Address

You can change the email address that is associated with your Backblaze Computer Backup account.

Find an Account Email Address

Open the Backblaze Backup client for your specific operation system, Preferences (Mac) or Control Panel (Windows), and examine the upper-right corner.

Change an Account Email Address

Before you begin: If you use single sign-on (SSO), disable SSO before you change the email address.

1. Sign in to the Backblaze web console.
2. In the user menu in the upper-right corner of the page, select My Settings.
3. Under Contact, click Change Email Address.
4. Enter your current password, and enter and confirm a new email address.
5. Click Change Email.

Remove an Email Address from a Previous Account or Trial

You can change the email address that is associated with a Backblaze account to use it with a new account.

1. Sign in to the Backblaze web console.
2. In the user menu in the upper-right corner of the page, select My Settings.
3. Under Contact, click Change Email Address.
4. Enter your current password, and enter and confirm a new email address that looks like this: [email protected].
5. Click Change Email.
6. Sign in to your current Backblaze account.
7. Change the email address to the one that you removed from your previous account.
