Restore Files to a Different Computer

When you back up your data with Backblaze Computer Backup, you can access it on a different computer. You can download any of the data that you previously backed up, and move it to another computer.

Download Files to a New Computer

1. Sign in to your Backblaze account on another computer.
2. Create a restore of the files that you want to download selecting Download (Free) as your restore method.
3. Download your zipped restore file.
4. Unzip your restore file, and move your files to your new computer.

Some files are formatted to work only on a specific operating system. For example, certain file types that are saved on a Mac computer may not work if you open them on a Windows computer.
