    You can change your password and manage multi-factor authentication (MFA) options in the enterprise web console under user settings.

    Change a Password

    Use the following guidelines to create a strong password.

    • Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
    • Passwords must be at least 15 characters long — longer is better.
    • Avoid commonly used or easily guessed passwords.
    1. Sign in to your Backblaze organization.
    2. In the upper-right corner of the enterprise web console, click your email address, then click Settings.
    3. In the Password section, click Change Password.
    4. Enter your current password.
    5. Enter and confirm your new password.
    6. Click Save.

    Manage MFA Options

    You can choose between an authenticator app or SMS for MFA.

    Note
    If you sign in using Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA settings are managed by your identity provider.
    1. Sign in to your Backblaze organization.
    2. In the upper-right corner of the enterprise web console, click your email address, then click Settings.
    3. In the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) section, click Edit.
    4. Set up an authenticator app.
      1. Click Set Up.
      2. Using your authenticator app, scan the QR code or manually enter the details that are displayed.
      3. Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app.
      4. Click Done.
    5. Reset an authenticator app configuration.
      This action resets your current MFA setup.
      1. Click Reset.
      2. Click Reset Account.
      3. Using your authenticator app, scan the QR code or manually enter the details that are displayed.
      4. Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app.
      5. Click Done.
    6. Set up SMS.
      1. Click Set Up.
      2. Select your Country Code, and enter your Phone Number.
      3. Click Send Code.
      4. Enter the authorization code that was sent to your phone.
      5. Click Done.
    7. Reset an SMS configuration.
      This action resets your current MFA setup.
      1. Click Reset.
      2. Click Reset SMS.
      3. Select your Country Code, and enter your Phone Number.
      4. Click Send Code.
      5. Enter the authorization code that was sent to your phone.
      6. Click Done.
    8. If you configured both options, set your preferred MFA method as the default.
    9. Click Done to save your new MFA settings.
