You can use the Backblaze Downloader application to download large ZIP restores.
Install the Backblaze Downloader
Before you begin: You must create a .zip restore. For more information about creating a restore, click here.
- Sign in to your Backblaze account.
- In the left navigation menu under Computer Backup, select My Restores.
- Click Download Backblaze Downloader.
The Backblaze Downloader app downloads to the default location on your computer, usually the Downloads folder, unless you specify otherwise. - Locate the Backblaze Downloader, and double-click the .zip file to extract the Downloader.
Use the Backblaze Downloader App
- Open the Backblaze Downloader application.
- Enter the email address that is associated with your Backblaze account, and select your desired language from the Language drop-down menu.
- Click Next.
- Enter the password for your Backblaze account, and click Next.
- In the Restore File drop-down menu, select the restore that you want to download.
- Next to the Download to field, click Choose Folder.
- Select the folder that you want to contain your downloaded files, and click Open.
- Optionally, click the drop-down menu next to Threads, and adjust the number of threads for the download.
Backblaze recommends that you use the default value of eight threads. - Click Next.
- To pause the download, click Pause after the download begins.
- After the download is complete, click Show File.
The downloaded file is shown in the folder that you specified.
Uninstall the Backblaze Downloader App
- In the system tray, click the(Start) icon.
- Click All apps.
- Select the arrow next to Backblaze to view all Backblaze applications.
- Right-click Backblaze Restore App.
- Select Uninstall.
The application is removed from your computer.
