The primary location where the authoritative version of content is stored.
An origin store may be an on-premises server, a web host, or a cloud object storage service. A CDN retrieves content from the origin when it is not already available on an edge server.
The origin remains the source of truth when content is changed or updated. Reliable and scalable origin storage is important because cache misses must be served directly from it.
