Object Storage

Object Storage

A storage architecture that manages data as independent objects containing data, metadata, and a unique identifier.

Unlike file storage, object storage uses a flat structure rather than directories and subdirectories. Applications generally access objects through APIs using their identifiers.

‍

Object storage is designed to scale across enormous volumes of unstructured data, including backups, videos, images, datasets, and archives. Its customizable metadata also supports search, lifecycle management, retention, and automation.
