Set a Temporary Data Drive

Backblaze Computer Backup creates a temporary copy of large data files (over 100 MB) during the backup process. If space is limited on your computer's main hard drive, you can use an external hard drive for this purpose.

1. Open the Backblazeclient for your specific operating system.
   • Preferences (Mac)
   • Control Panel (Windows)
2. Click Settings.
3. Select the Settings tab.
4. In the Temporary data drive field, select the drive that the Backblaze client should use to store temporary files.
5. Click OK.
