    If the Backblaze Computer Backup icon does not appear in the menu bar of your computer, you can display it by changing your Computer Backup settings.

    Restore a Missing Menu Icon (Mac)

    1. Open the Backblaze Computer Backup client Preferences Panel.
    2. Click Settings, and select the Settings tab.
    3. Select Show Backblaze icon in the menu bar.
    4. Click OK.

    If the icon does not appear after you complete these steps, you may need to configure the permissions on your computer or update the Computer Backup software.

    Resolve Duplicate Menu Icons

    If your menu bar shows two Backblaze icons, restart your computer to resolve the issue. If that does not clear your issue, follow the below steps.

    1. Navigate to https://www.backblaze.com/status/update.
    2. Under Download For, select the correct installer for your operating system.
      Do not uninstall the current installation of Backblaze on your system.
    3. Download and run the installer for your operating system.
