Companies and individuals represented included a mix of company sizes ranging from companies of less than 100 employees (2%) to companies of more than 20,000 employees (24%). Individuals represented by the survey included job levels from senior individual contributor (13%) to Executive, VP, or C-level (19%). More than half had responsibility for both technical and budget approval for cloud storage decision-making. Nearly 60% had 250TB - 1PB in public cloud storage. A majority (71%) used cloud storage for both application storage and backup use cases. Finally, BI or analytics use cases were the most common applications using cloud storage (60%), followed by digital or media asset management (58%) and AI or machine learning (57%).
