What is your Backblaze Title?<\/strong>
\nEngineering intern, client-side.<\/p>\n

Where are you originally from?<\/strong>
\nThe Bay Area! I grew up in Belmont and I\u2019m actually 5th generation Bay Area on my Dad\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

What attracted you to Backblaze?<\/strong>
\nWe use Backblaze\u2019s service for our home computers, and I found out through family that Backblaze was looking for interns, so I interviewed here over my spring break.<\/p>\n

What do you expect to learn while being at Backblaze?<\/strong>
\nWhatever I can.<\/p>\n

Where else have you worked?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019ve been a TA for classes at my university, but this is my first real job.<\/p>\n

Where did you go to school?<\/strong>
\nWhitworth University, in Spokane, Washington.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your dream job?<\/strong>
\nHmmmm. It would definitely be in tech. Other than that I\u2019m not entirely sure yet, but that\u2019s what college is for, right?<\/p>\n

Favorite place you\u2019ve traveled?<\/strong>
\nKauai, by far. It\u2019s the most untouched of the Hawaiian Islands and still has that nice local vibe. Also, the beaches being really beautiful is awesome.<\/p>\n

Favorite hobby?<\/strong>
\nI have far too many to pick an all-time favorite, but currently I\u2019m getting into drones, and drone racing. I have what\u2019s called a Tiny Whoop and it weighs about 20 grams. This summer I\u2019m just practicing, and I won\u2019t actually start racing until the semester starts in the fall.<\/p>\n

Of what achievement are you most proud?<\/strong>
\nGetting an internship for the summer before my Junior year! I\u2019m also teaching myself affinity designer so I can start making vector graphic posters and other vector graphic designs and art.<\/p>\n

Star Trek or Star Wars?<\/strong>
\nBoth. I have watched the Star Trek movies more times, though.<\/p>\n

Coke or Pepsi?<\/strong>
\nSan Pellegrino.<\/p>\n

Favorite food?<\/strong>
\nSushi. Although I\u2019m a huge fan of seafood in general.<\/p>\n

Why do you like certain things?<\/strong>
\nUsually because they make me think or get my imagination going. I\u2019m also pretty competitive so I\u2019ll take up video games and the like just to master them.<\/p>\n
