Backblaze is growing rapidly and as we have more and more job listings<\/a> coming online and more employees to corral, we needed another member on our Human Resources team! Enter Michele, who is joining the HR folks to help recruit, onboard, and expand our HR organization. Lets learn a bit more about Michele shall we?<\/p>\n

What is your Backblaze title?<\/strong>
\nHR Coordinator.<\/a><\/p>\n

Where are you originally from?<\/strong>
\nI was born and raised in the East Bay.<\/p>\n

What attracted you to Backblaze?<\/strong>
\nThe opportunity to learn new skills, as most of my experience is in office administration\u2026 I\u2019m excited to jump into the HR world!<\/p>\n

What do you expect to learn while being at Backblaze?<\/strong>
\nSo much! All of the ins and outs of HR, the hiring and onboarding processes, and everything in between\u2026so excited!<\/p>\n

Where else have you worked?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019ve previously worked at Clars Auction Gallery where I was Consignor Relations for 6 years, and most recently at Stellar Academy for Dyslexics where I was the Office Administrator\/Bookkeeper.<\/p>\n

Where did you go to school?<\/strong>
\nSan Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your dream job?<\/strong>
\nPastry Chef!<\/p>\n

Favorite place you\u2019ve traveled?<\/strong>
\nMaui. I could lay on the beach and bob in the water all day, every day! But also, Disney World\u2026who doesn\u2019t love a good Disney vacation?<\/p>\n

Favorite hobby?<\/strong>
\nBaking, traveling, reading, exploring new restaurants, SF Giants games<\/p>\n

Star Trek or Star Wars?<\/strong>
\nStar Wars.<\/p>\n

Coke or Pepsi?<\/strong>
\nBlack iced tea?<\/p>\n

Favorite food?<\/strong>
\nPretty much everything\u2026street tacos, ramen, sushi, Thai, pho.<\/p>\n

\nBecause why not?<\/p>\n

\nI love Disney!<\/p>\n
