No, I’m not kidding. Apparently two researchers that had been working on a cure for prostate cancer<\/a> had all their data on a laptop. While they stopped quickly on the way to their lab, a thief stole the laptop out of their parked car.<\/p>\n

And, yes, I hate to say it: they had no backup.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Being in the online backup<\/a> business, I hear about stories of data loss all the time. But some are just more painful to hear than others.<\/p>\n
