    Article Summary

Due to a OneDrive update, the way it backs up on MacOS 12.3 and newer has changed. The new update defaults to enabling the "Files on Demand" feature, and it does not allow the feature to be disabled as it did in earlier versions.

OneDrive's Files on Demand feature prevents OneDrive from being accessed by Backblaze Computer Backup, so you must disable the feature to back up your OneDrive folder.

    Back Up a OneDrive Folder

    1. Open the Applications folder on your computer.
    2. Select OneDrive.
    3. With the top-level OneDrive folder open, set the objects in the folder to show as icons.
    4. Control-click the space between icons, and select Always keep on this Device.

Files are now stored locally on your computer and will back up to Backblaze.
